I was dreaming about my own dog even since my childhood. Every dog that I met must have been stroked to death by me, no matter how big or small it was.
Beside this, I must've been waiting for my own dog until I got married and we've bought house with the garden. Me and my husband agreed with each other, that there's no way our home could function properly without a dog!
And so we started searching for the breed, which could accomplish our expectations and at the same time would fit to our life's style. During this search I have found at the Internet informations about Bernese Mountain Dogs and I couldn't belived, that breed with such wonderfull personality and at the same time with so beautifull appearance could even exist.
Not long time after this, in July 2004 we have brought to our home a fluffy 8-weeks-old girl - Astraja pod Dwiema Teczami - from a small home kennel in Mazury. We have fallen in love with her at the first sight and she brough a lot of happiness and joyfulness to our life.
At the beggining we were planning Astra to be so-called only loved doggie, but as time passed by she was rising to such beautiful and wise lady, that we decided to went with her at the dog shows. At the next few of shows Astra gained excellent grades, high places and immense notes from judges. We were so happy about her successes that we decided to start the kennel and name it ASTRUM FELIX.
As proverb says: "Appetite comes with eating" in our case it developed to the decision about buying next Bernese Dog, but this time we weren't so impulsive and we were searching laboriously for the best kennel, excellent pedigree and so, after many months, in the December 2006 we brought from Belgium lovely puppy - FELIX van de SAMAIKA.
Felix make my dreams come true, he is growing up into a beatifull dog with magnificant posture and lovely personality. I wish that in the near future he will conquer dog shows.
When we would have brought next Bernese Dog to our home... Time will show, but I know that this will happen without doubt.
